Let’s face it. With this case having gained such attention the findings and suggested solutions will eventually make it over to Ireland too.
The Southport Inquiry results have been published, and as expected it’s been used to add pressure for greater online age/ identity verification. It’s funny because it’s quite obvious that the main reasons that led to this escalation was the lack of efficient agency working to share information and define responsibility , and parental idiocy.
The only good thing that might come from this might be a more critical view on “autism”, which still seems to be viewed in a romanticised and self-indulgent way.
