OK Isha, you predicted this week, well done! But what about a foretelling for next week?

Isha if you post the Euromillions numbers for tomorrow night I'll give you half the winnings and buy you a new crystal ball :)

Half the winnings! Feck off. I will keep them all for myself.
It will be good for a week or 10 days. Then it will tail off middle of next week but it won't be that bad. Enjoy it now while it lasts.

I am not making a habit of this. Going to go out on a win. ;)
Thinking out loud, and trying to be occasionally less wrong...

It's lovely to see the sun again but I wish we could get more of a dry heat sometimes rather than the sticky, sweaty version that is the speciality of Irish summers.

Are they going to harvest the sun flowers ?

Spring wheat / barley harvest is ongoing here since yesterday. Although it takes a while for the dew to burn off in the mornings. Beautiful weather here in NCD at the moment. As usual I've booked three days off next week, so expect it to p1ss rain on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as it coincides with my three days holidays.

Nah - just collecting up the bales. Don't quite know what they're up to: they worked like lunatics all yesterday afternoon, cleared half the field ... then left the rest. :?:

They won't harvest the sunflowers for at least another month - they wait for the heads to turn manky, and they've only just started to droop this week.

Looks like this high pressure sitting over us is here for the next 7-10 days!! As they say in my neck of the woods, 'Sure it'll shorten the winter'!!!

High pressure is not always wall to wall sunshine in Ireland. For instance, in my part of the country i.e. the sunny south east, it is cloudy dull and cool at the moment.
Being offended doesn't automatically mean you are right.

Thought today was supposed to be nice and sunny like the last few days but constant drizzle here since 6am. Very overcast.

Déjà vu all over again for New Orleans - Hurricane Ida has landed as a Cat. 4 hurricane on the very anniversary of Katrina ... which was "only" Cat. 2. Just heard on CNN that the waters of the Mississippi are now flowing upstream. :o

A decent amount of rain yesterday but this summer must have been one of the driest in years.

Cleared at about 10am was a lovely day but I was walking in sh1te all day putting in gates and posts in my neighbour's farm where he keeps the cattle over the winter. Feeling chuffed that I had prepared for all of this this morning, at about 12am I was getting a bucket of water for some cement and it managed to spill right into one of my wellies so was going around in a soggy sock all day. :(

Cleared in Enniscorthy by mid-afternoon but the grey weather all morning sapped my will to go out for some fresh air.
