Pam bondi, Trump’s AG, wants to enforce hate speech legislation on people mocking Kirk’s death. She’s gone full woke and turned absolutely everyone against her.

Never underestimate a move because it seems stupid at that moment in time. It’s all a chess game and this action simply awaits its response. It’s some of the best advice I ever learned.
And yes, there is always an ulterior motive.

Some text exchanges between Robinson and his boyfriend Twiggs have been released.

Twiggs: What?????????????? You're joking, right????
Robinson: I am still ok my love, but am stuck in Orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn't be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.
Twiggs: You weren't the one who did it, right????
Robinson: I am, I'm sorry.
Twiggs: I thought they caught the person?
Robinson: No, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down. It's quiet, almost enough to get out, but there's one vehicle lingering.
Twiggs: Why?
Robinson: Why did I do it?
Twiggs: Yeah.
Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven't seen anything about them finding it.
Twiggs: How long have you been planning this?
Robinson: A bit over a week I believe. I can get close to it but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don't wanna chance it.
Robinson: I'm wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle. I'm worried what my old man would do if I didn't bring back grandpa's rifle. Idek if it had a serial number, but it wouldn't trace to me. I worry about prints. I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. Didn't have the ability or time to bring it with.
Robinson: I might have to abandon it and hope they don't find prints. How the feck will I explain losing it to my old man... Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel.
Robinson: Remember how I was engraving bullets? The fuckin messages are mostly a big meme. If I see "notices bulge uwu" on Fox News I might have a stroke.
Robinson: Alright I'm gonna have to leave it. That really fecking sucks.
Robinson: Judging from today I'd say grandpa's gun does just fine idk. I think that was a $2k scope ;-;
Robinson: Delete this exchange.
Robinson: My dad wants photos of the rifle... he says grandpa wants to know who has what, the feds released a photo of the rifle, and it is very unique. He's calling me rn, not answering.
Robinson: Since Trump got into office, [my dad] has been pretty diehard MAGA.
Robinson: I'm gonna turn myself in willingly. One of my neighbors here is a deputy for the sheriff.
Robinson: You are all I worry about love.
Twiggs: I'm much more worried about you.
Robinson: Don't talk to the media please. Don't take any interviews or make any comments. If any police ask you questions ask for a lawyer and stay silent.
Someone pointed out that this isn't how young guys born in the 2000s speak in text. It's unusually formal.

Oh I can't remember. Saw some random person tweet or retweet it. I don't know what the implication is, but I agree: lads born in the early/mid 2000s hardly write that way in informal situations. Not one "lmao" or "bruh".

I’m not a fan of cancel culture and I don’t think what he said was egregious enough to end a whole show. It’s a slippery slope

I don't think he said anything at all about Charlie Kirk did he? Just something about politicians reactions to the killing.
Anyway, Trump controlling the media is far far removed from free speech and the state of his comments about it

He stated that the government were in denial about the killer’s MAGA affiliation and motivations, which is evidently untrue.

As I said I dislike people getting cancelled because they might have offended someone’s fragile sensitivities. I guess this is just the first time it has hit someone on the other side of the fence. That’s really the only difference.

I think cancel culture is insane yet when the Biden administration put pressure on a network to cancel Roseanne Barr the left really can’t whine when it happens to them.

Yeah, so like I said he just spoke about politicians, not even the killing. I don't think it's the first time that Donald Trump has shut down free speech, it appears to be his thing.

I had to look that up, she's fiery!
Any proof it was the Biden administration that got her cancelled?

As someone who is a strong advocate of free speech, I don't agree with the canceling of Jimmy Kimmel's show, disgusting and all as the lies he told were.
I believe that, as long as someone isn't calling for violence, then they should be allowed to say what they want.

However, I find it supremely ironic that the same people who are now up in arms over Jimmy Kimmel are the same people (in many cases EXACTLY the same people) who spent the last 10 or so years, laughing and cheering every time someone they disagreed with got cancelled, and only found their free speech chops in the past week.
In fact, so resistant were they to free speech that the term "freeze peach" and similar terms were used as mockery of the "far right" people who believed in it. One of the most prolific posters on a well-known Irish discussion board even has a signature mocking advocates of free speech (wonder if he still has it up today?).
When people like Gina Carano, Roseanne Barr, JK Rowling, and closer to home, George Hook, John Waters, and Kevin Myers, (along with the countless numbers of doctors, commentators, and ordinary people who dared to question the covid response) were cancelled, lost their jobs, or were driven off social media, the left shouted loudly that they weren't being cancelled, they were just feeling the consequences of their actions - now, when the shoe is on the other foot, suddenly feeling the consequences of your actions isn't right (forgive the pun) any more.
If the left didn't have hypocrisy, they would have nothing.

Free speech is an issue of government restriction. Trump didn’t fire Jimmy Kimmel, ABC did.

I don’t like that people are being fired for this, next time they’ll just keep their mouths shut, they’ll still think the way they do but we won’t know about it anymore.

Some influential conservatives are telling people to alert every employer they can find if an employee was making a joke of Kirk’s death, not because they hate free speech but because these are the people that have pushing cancel culture for so long, people like jimmy kimmel.

The left will have you cancelled for saying truths, “men can’t be women though””learn to code” whereas it seems the right will cancel the left when they show moral bankruptcy.

Mormons though, I’ve known a few and they were great people, many I’d call friends but they are just a little bit different from everyone else.
They are just a little bit more formal than everyone else, but maybe this is just my experience.

I rarely agree with Jonathan Pie these days but when it comes to matters of free speech he always nails it. Comedians should realize how important free speech is to their trade, unlike the woefully unfunny Jimmy Kimmel.

A few people have always highlighted how a lot of the things, like media controls and cancelling peoples careers, that the modern left have looked for and indeed used would eventually be used by the other side to get them.
The things is the modern left are often too dumb to realise this.

Once again the lessons are in history.

I lament the fact that in the modern world history is often frowned upon and when actually taught is often dumbed down.

All one has to do to see this is look at what junior cert history course is like.

Well if it takes an event like this to correct things, so that people on the left start to realize the importance of free speech again and cancel culture starts to erode then maybe something good can come out of this and the thing Kirk actually was fighting for would happen, people would have more conversations and less arguments. Fingers crossed.
