There were hundreds of cameras recording everything in vivid detail that day but so far nothing has been released in full from the Democrat run house. Now that the republicans are in charge they have given the footage to Tucker Carlson so we might actually find out what happened that day.

They selectively released parts of footage at their show trials which ended in zero convictions, in fact most of the people charged that day have been winning in court.

It looks like the whole thing was probably encouraged by the FBI(much like the plot to kill governor whitmer which turned out to be fbi entrapment. This was a story from around about the same time as this, they were trying to build a narrative that trump supporter’s were violent. Certainly the media were complicit in making it out to be something far more then it actually was. For example the only person who died as a result of that day was Ashley Babbit(a protestor) and no police officer died because of it(Brian sicknick, even Biden lied and said he died as a result of this day, he died of an unrelated cause the following day).

Expect the footage to be going around shortly and the memes I expect will be hilarious.

Bombarded because we’re easily distracted rubbernecker’s more like. The Trump circus did a lot of damage to democratic politics outside of the US than many have noticed.

Attention and effort should be put into sorting out our own clowns rather than gawking at the US political shitshow. The amount of attention the electorate at home are paying is nowhere near enough, with too few taking any kind of active role as deliberate voters. Civics is on life support in Ireland.

If you have time to spend reading, watching and commenting on politics and assuming you have the privilege of voting in Ireland, spend that time wisely by engaging in ANY manner with political mechanisms at home. Unless you’re doing that, you are truly a part of the problem with politics in Ireland today.

The Americans can handle it themselves. They don’t need any attention from any of us and we can’t influence the outcomes there in any case. You can at home. Get your eye on the ball.

We live under American hegemony, thankfully, which has led to the safest and most prosperous time in history. If this were to be undermined it would have detrimental consequences even for us here in Ireland. Two of the largest contributors to our finances are American companies and without them we’d have the largest deficit we’ve ever seen. Most of our international news is regurgitated from AP in New York.

What goes on over there has a massive affect on what’s happening here. The culture war stuff are all the most active topics on boards and have been for some time. This is where it’s coming from and they lied en mass to push a narrative to get their guy into office.

Looks more like they just joined in on the protest, but still it’s something that the government denied until the footage was released to Carlson’s show.

Kind of like that guy the ‘shaman’(Jacob Chansley) who became the face of the protest… still in jail and was jailed in solitary confinement for months yet when the footage came out it was the police officers and security that were leading him around the capitol building.
