Taiwan/Formosa is to the Chinese Revolution what Florida is to the Cuban one. The fact that she has praised many of the great achievements the People's Republic of China has made since it's foundation and called for national reconciliation is really a massive break through.
Sun Yat-sen who died in 1925 is one of the very few 20 th century political figures revered by both the People's Republic of China and Taiwan.
One cannot help wondering how much is all this though an unintended consequence of the US's failure to defend Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain during the recent war in West Asia.
