London Calling...

When even the head of Marks and Sparks Retail publicly says enough is enough

- then it really is getting serious over there!

Marks and Spencer retail boss warns crime is getting 'more brazen' after days of unrest
Retail director Thinus Keeve has demanded action after groups of young people wreaked havoc in south London over the past week.

Marks and Spencer's retail boss has warned crime is getting "more brazen, more organised and more aggressive" after a week plagued by antisocial behaviour.

Retail director Thinus Keeve hit out at the government and London Mayor Sadiq Khan in a letter posted to the supermarket's website on Thursday.

"Without a government seriously cracking down on crime and a Mayor that prioritises effective policing, we are powerlesss," he said.

After the unrest on Saturday, about 100 officers responded to antisocial behaviour in Clapham, south London, on Tuesday, four of whom were assaulted, along with one member of the public.

This must be sure to be a huge boost for Reform at the upcoming Local elections and slap in the face for the utterly useless Sadiq Khan who is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.

One to watch anyway. 8-)

Steaming by mostly black youths in London. Saw it for the first time in London, early 90s. I was on a platform and as the tube came into the station, out they poured, after apparently running amock in a carriage. They had timed their assault on passengers just prior to the train arriving at the station.

Quite clever. They were gone and legged it out of the station before most really understood what had happened.
