I was listening to the news and they were on about the prices of hotels and car rental. They are just gone daft and there was a rep from some hotels federation saying it was because of the last two years. A car hire person was saying it was because the number of cars was down by 50%. I'm call ING complete bullshit and it's simple price gouging.
Something has to be done to stop this stupid prices. I've a family member coming home for 10 days in July. I've seen prices of a couple of grand for an ordinary car. Our solution is to f**k with the hire car and buy a banger and use that instead.
I can see the tourist industry actually killing the golden goose with these prices. People won't come back and tell their friends about the prices also.
