This is a long article... maybe for the weekend? Anyway I read it and I am astonished. Now I know every story has two sides and Suzy Weiss is definitely on David's side of the story. But so are so many of his old workmates. And NYU was going to give him a job last month but big protests from students there prevented that from happening.

I think he did nothing particularly wrong. When the regulation was passed about sexual liaisons in the workspace he says he should have said something, but that because it was already fizzling out naturally, he thought why say anything. She was not a very young person. She sounds very clingy at the end. Thwarted. He was never in a position to affect her employment or research, so no undue influence. I find it all quite amazing. He is one of the best cancer researchers in the world, on the verge of enormous breakthroughs, and now he is on the scrap heap. Well, Russia, China and some Arabian country (I just for this moment cannot remember which one, I read it yesterday and I have a lot on my mind!) have already offered him work - that's what cancel culture is leading to. Exile for brilliant scientists.

But maybe I'm completely wrong!!

If anyone reads it, they could tell me what they think.

Very glad to hear you are feeling better, Celchick. Take it easy for a while.

I should probably read another side of the story from somewhere to get more perspective. I guess one will appear in print soon enough.
