Interesting Tweet from Peter Boylan. It does demonstrate the level of cognitive dissonance required to believe that the Sisters of Charity won't have any sway in the new NMH...

I don't see the problem. A lot of people get comfort while in hospital from prayers and pastoral care. Especially as many are old people.

I think what should be done is to make the spaces multi-faith. They could be made into quite beautiful spaces, from an aesthetic point of view, in ways that offend no denominations, and maintain a peaceful temple vibe.
And the priests/rabbis/imams/monks/whatever could visit their patients for pastoral care …login to view the rest of this post
