Re: Argentina vs Brazil abandoned
Not sure if this would belong in the sports forum or the covid forum. It seems there were four premierleague players playing in the match. Brazil is on England's red list, and England is on Brazil's red list in terms of covid travel. Apparently these four players provided false information to healt...

Re: Critical Race Theory, protected from racism?
I agree re the N word. American music and TV industry have glamourised and glorified the word. Made it perfectly acceptable to use in modern society. Depending on the tone of use it can be deemed as a friendly welcome or an absolute terrible insult. For me the word should be banned from radio play o...

Re: Love Island
You think the world is in a better place now than it was 20 years ago? Love Island is literally about whoring yourself out to the public, its prostitution marketed as entertainment and swathes of people lap it up. Big Brother started it all but at least that had somewhat normal people on it whether...

Its modern entertainment. Reality TV has been the norm for the last 20 years.

Re: USA prediction
Agreed but do you not think there's a strong anti everything vibe here? There was so many media and social media sites that were anti trump it was outrageous. I was firmly in the trump camp partly do to the global pile on against trump. In terms of Biden,I would like to see a site that gives credit...

Re: USA prediction
Agree on the above. He was definitely an 'anything but Trump' candidate and didn't really get voted in on the back of any strong agenda however he did get voted in fair and square.
The anti Biden vibe is very off putting on this site.

More than the shift. All 20 contestants are sleeping in the same room and at least 2/3 of the couples are going at it. Full on. Then both the men and the women have a morning catch up to brag about the night before.

Re: Love Island
I'll admit I watch it. Cant argue with any of the above negative comments. All true. For me, the reason so many people watch it is there is nothing else on. "Throw on the kettle, love island will be on at 9"..easy to follow, villa full of hotties, bit of drama..I'll have that with my 9 0 c...

Re: Property Market chat thread
It's definitely a different approach. I can see how you could easily have an impulse bid in a live bidding environment. I think I'll stick to the slow tideous phone calls for now

Re: Property Market chat thread
So you go to the property beforehand then there is a designated day for an online bid afterward ? How does the limit on how much you can bid work ? Say I'm only approved for 300k but I get trigger happy on the day and bid 400k which I dont have

Re: Property Market chat thread
You mean buy a house online without a physical viewing ? I would never do it although I was talking to an auctioneer during the week and he said of the 10 houses that went sale agreed via virtual viewings due to covid only 2 pulled out. So 8/10 completed the sale and sold. He was expecting the drop ...

Re: Property Market chat thread
As it is now a sellers market I think estate agents are now becoming obnoxious to deal with. I've rang one company 3 times this week, spoke to the receptionist 3 times, looking to arrange a viewing and nobody has rang me back. Not only are prices going through the roof but you now also have to deal w...

Re: Who will you vote for at the next General Election?
I think their model for circa 230k affordable housing makes sense. Best of a bad bunch because they have: A) put a realistic figure on “affordable” B) come up with a realistic proposal on how to achieve that. It’s not personally what I would do to tackle the housing problem, but my point is there i...

I often wondered that notion, when your younger you tend to be more liberal as you get older you become more conservative... is it because you get more sense as you get older or is it you dont believe in liberal ideas or that they dont matter as much anymore ?

Re: Who will you vote for at the next General Election?
I'd agree re the greens. I gave them my vote in the local elections a couple of years because I wanted to vote for something different but it was essentially a wasted vote FF & FG i know they are the traditional giants of politics but to me a vote for either is to continue the status quo and I l...

Re: Property Market chat thread
In general I would think we are going to see alot more second hand property's enter the market toward the end of this year/early next year. Hopefully by March next year there will be more supply which will slow down the price increase on property Obviously this is all based on covid being in the rea...
